There must be some truth to his finding. It would have been more acceptable if it promoted a 'sin' - like a person who lived long despite smoking.

The first page which began at 2/3rd mark did not grasp me. To be fair few sentences is not enough to grasp a person into the book but if the author bemoans her state in the first page there is not much to do going on with her. I couldnt pass the 'learn to cook' it in the subtitle of the book. I wondered if I would be lucky enough to just spot the cooking chapter. This book has words for chapters instead of boring, impersonal numbered chapters.

In the section on how she learnt to cook, the author begins with her infamous sandwich that her then boyfriend threw up after getting out of the house. Realising that cooking can be a useful arrow in her quiver when it comes to attracting men, she joins a cooking class, takes down notes feverishly. Starts easy with salads, takes a class to put together a thanksgiving meal. In the end she has a wonderful meal with her mom even though the hours leading her up to that point involve she and her mom at loggers with each other fighting for the stove.

I also didnt read the rest of the book as it was about finding a partner. Patience wears thin for the journey of finding partner for its fickle nature.

- A  book, by the time you get it into your hands, you would have done away with the expecting, delivering of a baby and probably the nourishing part too.
